Introduction

Mavericks Cricket Club was formed in 2007 by a bunch of cricket enthusiasts. Club was formed by a group of young men of Indo Pak descent who had played the game of cricket at different levels. Mavericks Cricket Club (MAVS) is a member of the Washington Metropolitan Cricket Board (WMCB) which contains 21 teams, from Washington DC, Virgina and Maryland. We as a team are excited and are proud to represent WMCB. Currently we have 19 players representing Mavericks Cricket Club.

The Club is run under the leadership of Misbah Basit (President) and Taj Butt (Captain).


Our Mission

Provide an opportunity for club members to play cricket on a competitive as well as recreational level. To field a competitive team to participate in WMCB league.

beat Windies in
WMBC Division II Championship 2008 finals and holds the unbeaten champions title.
